Dr. Sougata Bardhan

Dr. Bardhan has extensive experience in interdisciplinary research in soil health and agroforestry such as cover cropping , soil microbial community influence, alley cropping, and forest farming. At Tennessee State University Dr. Bardhan runs a regenerative soil health program suitable for small and marginal farm stakeholders as a demonstration and for the development of best management practices. Bardhan has been instrumental in forming multidisciplinary international collaborations for successful research proposals (over ~$50 million total; ~$5 million as PI) spanning over four continents and more than 10 countries.
